Open Transparency
We believe in complete transparency regarding how our software interacts with your hardware. While the core kernel driver is proprietary to ensure stability and compatibility, our data interpretation methods are based on open industry standards and documentation from Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA. We do not use obfuscated code to hide malicious activity.
No-Malware Guarantee
HWMonitor is guaranteed to be 100% free of malware, spyware, viruses, and trojans. Our installer does not bundle third-party offers ("crapware") or browser toolbars. We rely on the support of our Pro users rather than compromising the integrity of our free version.
Usage Disclaimers
HWMonitor is a diagnostic tool that accesses low-level hardware registers. While extensive testing is performed to ensure safety:
- Use at your own risk. The authors are not liable for data loss or hardware damage.
- Do not run multiple monitoring tools simultaneously (e.g., HWMonitor + CPU-Z) as this can cause sensor conflicts ("race conditions").
- Readings are for informational purposes and should not be used for critical safety systems.
